One Fifth Avenue

I tried reading a Candace Bushnell book a few years ago and didn't love it. I sort of wrote her off as a Danielle Steel type. You know, same story line recycled over and over again, beautiful poor girl falls for forbidden handsome rich boy blah blah.... But then for some reason, I decided to give One Fifth Avenue a whirl and lo and behold, I loved it. I couldn't put it down and was sort of sad when it ended. I just ordered Lipstick Jungle and now have high expectations. Well, it must be good enough to make a TV show out of. Although I think its been canceled.

This book is about a group of people who live- or want to live- at the exquisite One Fifth Avenue.
It's New York Society, appearances, money lust, greed, friendship and love all tied up in a novel. Intersecting story lines come together for a satisfying ending. This I can see as a TV show or film. I wish I was a producer who had the power to put these projects together. Until then, pick it up at Amazon.com or where ever you get your books.
